Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A 51-year-old head constable Thirupathaiah died, reportedly of a cardiac arrest, in Kagaznagar on Monday.
Thirupathaiah complained of chest pain and fell unconscious at 6 am. He was immediately shifted to a hospital in the town, but doctors declared him brought dead. He was working with the Central Crime Station (CCS). He is survived by his wife, son and daughter. Hailing from Jammikunta in Karimnagar district, Thirupathaiah had joined the police department in 1993.
Meanwhile, DSP Ramanujam, Special Branch Inspector Rana Prathap and police officials welfare association president Vijaya Shankar Reddy consoled the bereaved family members of the constable. Ramanujam handed over Rs 30,000 to kin of Thirupathaiah as an immediate relief on behalf of the police department.
